On writer's block and PMS.....

I have been staring at this screen for the last one hour and using the delete button more than I ever have. It's simply never happened before. Words never fail me. I usually have a million things to say and the words always flow through. Not these days. I tried more than once to write for the new year, but all in vain. I have 42 draft posts. (*ahhh....so its not that i didn't try, i just couldn't) I have a million things swimming in my head right now but the words just refuse to form. Maybe it's because I dont have one or two things to say. As I said, I have a million things. I am rambling now. Another first. So well, This post won't be the most brilliant thing ever. It's ok. I'll live. I'll settle for mediocrity, just this once. I don't know why but i have been dying to shoot out this since last few times. It is silly. I confess it is. But darn true. I just got a sms from a buddy(KV) asking coulnt i get a better theme to write on rel...

zebra all the way!

In India all things are treated alike.while a green signal means go for traffic,it is a green for our pedestrians and yesterday I witnessed the most latest ongoings of this OLD TRADITION. Jumping before a speeding bus to cross the road,an elegantly dressed woman, balancing on a pair of stilettos can get across quiet easily. Her modus operandi is simple: she STOPS traffic. The cars slow down, buses stop hoping the madam will hop in. And before anyone knows it,she is safe on the other side. Cut to the great Indian Family on the road. The thrill of crossing the road is immense. And the exercise is undertaken with full preperation. Members of the family go into a huddle, hands are held, fists clenched.Somebody emerges the leader, his eyes fixed on the road.Once he decides to cross, the rest of the gang are AUTOMATICALLY PROPELLED forward by sheer momentum and God's benign hand. Nothing can beat the pace of our JANTA. The cross-over is complete. In this age of instant coffee...

winds of change

Well i have been thinking a lot about 'change' lately. About the things i want to change. In my life, around me. And mostly because it is a feeling of disorientation. A mixture of being fascinated, excited awed and petrified. Yeah, that's right. Change confuses me and how. I spend too much time Contemplating change. But it wasn't always like this. I can remember a time not too long back when change was something exciting and something I didn't think too much about. Moving to another city? Sure, new friends, new places. Changing schools? Yeah new quirky teachers. Moving out of home? Bring it on! Think of all the trouble I can get into. It's one of those things that has come with growing older. Right up there with worrying about money, the opposite sex and PMS. I simply notice change more than I used to. And I feel wary of it. Not because I find the unknown any less exciting, but simply because I am painfully aware that the known is valuable too. ...

Cheers to the head on the heels!!

Everyday thousands of woman walk in and out of that door, wearing their charm on sleeves and tip tapping the floor in their brightly coloured or multi-hued, blingy or matte, rough or polished oh-so-yumm FIVE inched heels.. Surely enough all these women have one thing in mind "To prove themselves". Sometimes in discomfort, on their toes, balancing on a tightrope called a life. Sometimes when she sees them, the single streak of thought that passes her myriad mind; "Will i be one of them someday?" Aah...how much she would have loved tapping those heels, gliding them on that smooth marble floor. Each of them with a thought of their own, walking through the difficult lanes of hundreds of doubts that arise everyday @ their workplace or @ home. Gliding through life, putting a full stop to those millions raised eyebrows to question her creditability, in her beautiful stilettos, she copes up with every small detail in this BIG patriarchal universe. As she look upto them, he...
